RECYCLABLE GOODS - DROP OFF MORNINGS
As part of the Town’s commitment to strive for a sustainable environment and to reduce the hard waste that ends up in landfill, the Town will hold a community recyclable goods drop off morning.
Dates, Time and Location:
- 27 October 2018
- 27 April 2019
- From 9-12noon at the Depot located at 69 Scaddan St, Bassendean
Please note- You will need to bring ID on the day and proof of your address as this is a community event for Town of Bassendean residents only.
*Make sure you have your items separated for easy drop off
Items Accepted
- Metals - Bikes, BBQ’s, metal bed frames, corrugated iron/tin sheeting, air con units, hot water systems, car body parts, car rims, dismantled swings/trampolines, white goods (excluding fridges and freezers).
- Wood - Any untreated timber-off cuts (no longer than 1.5m) crates, pallets (NO cabinets or furniture accepted).
- E Waste - TV’s, computers, set-top boxes, monitors, keyboards, game consoles, speakers, stereo equipment, printers, scanners, photocopiers, DVD players, laptops, mobile phones, cameras.
- Cardboard - any cardboard, cartons and packing boxes.
- Tyres - Car, trailer, 4WD (off rims only) (4 per household).
Items NOT Accepted
Please note these items can be taken to Red Hill Waste Management Facility
- No Asbestos
- No construction waste
- No Paint
- NO HHW
- No carpets
- No sofa or lounges
- No Mattresses - Mattresses can now be collected all year round by contacting (08) 9350 7195 (3 per year/ household)
- No Greenwaste
- No PVC
- No Glass panels
- No Gas cylinders
- No Polystrene
- No Clothing – this can be donated to charity
- No household rubbish - this goes in your waste bin
