Waste-Wise Schools

This award-winning program provides professional development for teachers in Western Australia in developing school waste minimisation strategies, such as recycling, composting and worm farming, and administers a school grants program. The program is free of charge.

Cleanaway waste education programs

These programs are available to many local primary schools in Perth's Eastern Region, free of charge. The Cleanaway education program focuses on the three R's: recycling, reusing and reducing through practical demonstrations and entertaining class activities. The program is very popular so teachers are advised to book early, as demand for the incursions are heavy.

REmida WA

REmida WA is a creative re-use centre that collects industrial discards from shops and factories around Perth,  making these materials available to schools, childcare centres, artists and families. Professional development workshops are offered for teachers about how to use recycled materials in the classroom and  strengthen your learning environments. They also run workshops and activities for schools, Early Years programs and festivals.
