Mobile Muster

We have joined forces with Mobile Muster to offer participating battery collection schools a chance to dispose of old mobile phones.

If you wish to take part in the program through the EMRC, we will provide you with a mobile muster collection box and collect the mobiles from the box when we collect your batteries as part of the EMRC Battery Collection Program.

To take advantage of this, please let students and parents know that they can bring in their old mobile phones, batteries included. You may want to advertise this in your next school newsletter or on your school's website.

It's important that the mobile phones and accessories are kept separate from the dry cell batteries as they are sent to different recycling plants for processing. KEEP MOBILE PARTS IN A SEPARATE BAG OR BOX. When your batteries are collected, our battery collector can take the mobile phones as well.

Schools can also register directly in the Mobile Muster program for mobile phone recycling.  To take part in the program directly, please visit http://www.mobilemuster.com.au/.

Additionally, all mobile phone retailers will now take old phones to be recycled as part of the Mobile Muster program.

During the 2015/2016 financial year, the EMRC collected 52.08 kilograms of mobile phones from both schools and public places keeping them out of landfill!
