Transfer stations

Conditions of entry* - transfer station passes
Transfer stations are available for Mundaring residents to conveniently recycle and dispose of items, provided that a valid pass is shown at the entry gate. The pass is found at the bottom of the annual rates notice.

If you have lost your pass, it can be replaced at a cost of $30.00. Please call the Shire of Mundaring (Rates section) on (08) 9290 6666 to organise a new pass.

Opening hours: Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday : 8.00am - 4.00pm
(All transfer stations closed Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day)

Free access to Shire of Mundaring residents with valid transfer station pass. No commercial vehicles are allowed.

Waste accepted: general waste, greenwaste, motor oil, white goods, batteries, tyres (max. five, fees payable). Recyclables: clothing & blankets, cardboard (flattened, without plastic packaging), fluorescent lights, glass bottles, paper, plastic.

Waste not accepted: asbestos and chemicals.

Mathieson Road Transfer Station
Chidlow

Opening hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 8.00am - 4.00pm

Free access to Shire of Mundaring residents with valid transfer station pass. No commercial vehicles are allowed.

Waste accepted: general waste, greenwaste, motor oil, white goods, batteries, tyres (fees payable). Recyclables: clothing & blankets, fluorescent lights, glass bottles, paper, plastic.

Waste not accepted: asbestos and chemicals.

Mayo Road Transfer Station
Wooroloo

Opening hours: Saturday-Sunday: 8.00am - 12.30pm

Free access to Shire of Mundaring residents with valid transfer station pass. No commercial vehicles are allowed.

Waste accepted: General waste/greenwaste. Recyclables: paper and plastic.

Waste not accepted: asbestos and chemicals.
 

* Please note that when there is a total fire ban in place, the Shire of Mundaring may, for safety reasons, close the Shire’s transfer stations.
