Earth Carers training program

The free training program consists of five sessions over three weeks with a range of guest speakers and covers topics such as:

  • Composting, wormfarming and sheet mulching;
  • 'Green cleaning' and safe disposal of Household Hazardous Waste;
  • Recycling in the community;
  • Tours of waste management and recycling facilities;
  • The 'big picture' of waste management;
  • Tips and hints for waste reduction;
  • Ways to encourage others to reduce waste.
     

When is the course held?

Earth Carers courses will be held 1-2 times a year. The last training course finished at the end of July 2011. The next course will not take place until 2012. Updates will appear on this page closer the date.

The training program below from the course held in July 2011 will give you an indication of the types of topics and workshops that will available as part of the EMRC Earth Carers course.

 

Who else runs the Earth Carer course?

If you live in Perth's northern or western suburbs you may wish to participate in the the Northern Earth Carers (run by MRC) or Western Earth Carers (run by WMRC)
