As part of the City of Swan's commitment to being both sustainable and environmentally conscious, the city will no longer issue verge collection pamphlets via letter box delivery in 2012.

The brochure contains important information about what you can and can't put out for greenwaste and household waste collections, as well as upcoming collection dates for 2012.

The city provides three bulk collections per financial year, which consists of two green waste and one household junk collection.

A general guide to the bulk verge collections
The bulk refuse collection truck uses a crane mechanism and it is essential that the machinery has clear access to the material. Please DO NOT allow items to obstruct the footpath, put items under power poles or trees, near boundary fences, or on top of sprinklers, where it can be avoided.

•  Do not put out more than three cubic metres.
•  Refuse placed out for collection after the crew has completed the street or area will not be collected.
•  NO re-runs will be undertaken.
